Dr. Kevin Parkinson, MD, FRSC
With nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Kevin Parkinson has been a trusted name in ophthalmology in the Coquitlam area since 1997. After dedicating many years to the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma, Dr. Parkinson broadened his scope of practice in 2016 to better serve the residents of the Lower Mainland. Today, he provides comprehensive medical care for a wide range of eye conditions, while continuing to sub-specialize in the advanced medical and laser treatment of glaucoma.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Parkinson is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to helping patients achieve the best possible vision and quality of life. His dedication to excellence has earned him the trust of countless individuals and families throughout the community.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Parkinson is an avid sports enthusiast. Whether on a road bike, out for a run, or enjoying a round of golf, he brings the same passion and energy to his personal pursuits as he does to caring for his patients.

Dr. Yao Wang, BHSc (Hon), MD, FRCSC
Dr. Yao Wang is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in medical retina. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto before completing his ophthalmology residency and retina fellowship at Queen’s University, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Following his training, Dr. Wang practiced in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, for over three years as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgery at Memorial University. In 2023, he relocated to Metro Vancouver with his family, bringing his expertise to the Lower Mainland.
To date, Dr. Wang has performed more than 5,000 cataract surgeries and 30,000 intravitreal injections. His practice is comprehensive, caring for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, dry eye, lid lesions, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular disease, among others.
Passionate about collaborative care, Dr. Wang works closely with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional, patient-centered eye care. He is excited to continue serving the diverse communities of Metro Vancouver.
